Day 01

Polonnaruwa City
Polonnaruwa Sri Lanka

Once you arrive at the Bandaranaike International airport (CMB), our guide will await you at the arrival lounge to welcome you. There will be a comfortable A/C vehicle to pick you up and you will be going to Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. Kaduruwela area is the Polonnaruwa New Town and the other part of Polonnaruwa remains as the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the ancient city of Polonnaruwa is a melting pot of history. You will be checked-in to a hotel in Polonnaruwa and we would arrange a city tour and to visit the Parakrama Samudra which is a collection of reservoirs built in 386AD.

Day 02

Polonnaruwa / Anuradhapura / Nila Veli / Polonnaruwa

On the second day we would be travelling early morning to Anuradhapura, which is the capital city of North Central Province, Sri Lanka and the capital of Anuradhapura District. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient Sri Lankan civilization. The city, now a World Heritage site, was the center of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries. It is believed that from the 4th century BC until the beginning of the 11th century BC it was the capital of the Sinhalese. During this period it remained one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia. You would also be climbing Mihintale, a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

Then after all this we would visit the Nilaveli beach where you can enjoy the beautiful pristine beaches and do some activities such as snorkeling, diving, private boat rides, etc.

After this we would be heading back to the Polonnaruwa town to stay the 2nd night in the hotel.

Day 03

Dambulla
Dambulla Sri Lanka

Next day morning we will start our journey at 06:00am towards Dambulla where we will climb the Sigiriya Rock, also known as the Lion Rock. . It would be a beautiful sight to see the atmosphere and the whole Dambulla area going into the sunrise on top of this magnificent rock palace. You could also see a beautiful view if you have a liking for hot air ballooning early morning. We will visit the Archaeological museum in Dambulla, the Kandalama Reservoir & then we would check-in at the hotel and have a chilled out evening in Dambulla and stay the night.

Day 04

Kitulgala / Kandy

On this day, we would be heading in the morning to Kithulgala to do some fun watersport activities such as Rafting, Canyoning, River Boarding, Water Fall Abseiling, Zip Lining, etc.

After all the fun in the river, we would be going to Kandy which is a place of great religious and cultural significance to Sri Lanka. Then after you will check-In at Kandy where you could chill down for a bit and go for an evening stroll for the city tour or go to the Spice Garden in Kandy, Gem Factory Visit and a cultural dance show and fire eating and fire walking performance in Kandy Lake Club in the evening. Whichever time permits and the remaining could be done the next day.

Day 05

On this day we will visit the temple of the tooth relic which is known as “Dalada Maligawa”. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. There is the morning ceremony at 05:30 am & mid-day ceremony at 09:30 am which we could visit at the time you want. After seeing this spectacle, we would finish remaining things to do from the previous day, visit the national museum in Kandy & go for a city tour.

Day 06

Nuwara Eliya

We would be heading to Nuwara Eliya after checking-out of Kandy. Nuwara Eliya has the coldest weather climate in Sri Lanka. You will never forget this ride as you will be stunned by breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains, waterfalls and greenery surrounded by hills and tea plantations on the way to the town of Nuwara Eliya.

On the way we could visit the Kotmale Dam. The Kotmale Dam is a large hydroelectric and irrigation dam in Kotmale, Sri Lanka. The dam generates power from three 67 MW turbines, totaling the installed capacity to 201 MW, making it the second largest hydroelectric power station in Sri Lanka. This dam is of course a sight to never miss. We would be staying for 2 nights in Nuwara Eliya too therefore we have a whole lot of a places to go to and visit which can be planned out for your ease.

On the way we can also visit the famous “little England” in Nuwara Eliya. You will visit the main attractions of the town which include the golf course, boating, fishing and water sports on Lake Gregory. You will then Check-In to the hotel you are going to stay the night in.

Day 07

Horton Plains/ City Tour

We would have to wake up very early in the morning to go on a trek through the Horton plains to see the beauty of nature and wild life and going early in the morning and witnessing all this is of course a sight for sore eyes.

This trek would take up most of your day but it will be totally worth to spend your day with this beautiful nature.

After the trek we can also visit a tea factory where the slow-growing tea bushes of this highland region produce some of the world’s finest Orange Pekoe tea. You can also add Seetha Eliya and Haggala Botanical Gardens. Seetha Eliya also known as Seetha Amman Kovil is a kovil which was mentioned in the famous epic Ramayana.

After all that we would head back to the hotel in Nuwara Eliya, to spend the night in the beautiful weather.

Day 08

Ella

Next stop is Ella, one of the most famous upcoming tourist destinations in Sri Lanka. On this day we would check-out and leave to go visit the nine-arch bridge and to hike the Ella Rock which is a beautiful viewpoint of a massive area. You can also enjoy the newest addition which is Zip-lining in the Ella area. Also, we can do some night time walking around the city as Ella is a town that lights up beautifully during the night with amazing food.

Day 09

Yala

This day we would head to Yala. Therefore we can check-out from Ella in the afternoon and then reach Yala by evening. Next day morning is the big day to go on adventure at the Yala National Park. This is Sri Lanka’s biggest national park which is home to 44 species of mammals and 215 species of birds.

Until that you could do some sight-seeing and bird watching around in Yala.

Day 10

Safari & Bentota

This is the day to wake up early in order to go for the safari in the national park of Yala. You would get to witness many animals and some beautiful landscapes in this enormous park. This will take up most of your day. Your luck would also affect you to see as many species of animals as possible.

We would then travel to Bentota for the next 2 nights, where the beaches are beautiful and you could just have some good sporting time with watersports, before going to Colombo.

On the way, we will go to the Galle Fort in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, which was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument.

You can also visit a turtle hatchery showing the life of turtles of Sri Lanka in Mirissa.

Day 11

Mirissa / Bentota

On this day, if you are really up for it, we can go on a whale watching tour early in the morning where Sri Lanka is home to the largest blue whales in the world. We would go to Mirissa to do that and also if interest some diving & snorkeling. Then in the afternoon & evening there would be so much time for more sports such as banana boating, Jet Ski rides, Paramotoring & many more.

After all this we would stay the 2nd night in Bentota before heading to Colombo for our final night.

Day 12

Colombo

This day you would be travelling to Colombo to spend your last night. In Colombo you could go on a city tour, go for your shopping needs and enjoy sometime in one of the busiest cities in Sri Lanka. You will be enjoying your last night in Colombo before returning back to your home country. Also, Colombo is one of the most beautiful cities at night due to the skyscrapers and night life which light up the night.

After all this we would stay the 2nd night in Bentota before heading to Colombo for our final night.

Day 13

Departure

After 12 days we have come to an end. Though it is an end it will be a new experience for you to take back to your home country. After all that when you are ready to check out from the hotel we can proceed to the airport for the departure flight.
